Radiant In-Floor Heating
Watch the Build
Radiant floor heat turns the slab itself into the heating system — silent, even warmth with no ductwork in the living space. TnD Mechanical installs hydronic radiant systems end to end: insulation and mesh, PEX loop layout, copper manifold fabrication, the self-leveling overpour, and the boiler-side connections that drive it.
The job in this footage shows the full sequence. Loops are laid to a consistent spacing over reflective insulation and tied to mesh, every circuit is home-run back to a fabricated copper manifold and pressure-tested, and only then does the self-leveling pour go down and lock the tubing into the slab. Zone valves and circulator pumps tie the floor back to the mechanical room.
What's Involved
- Reflective insulation and wire mesh preparation
- PEX loop layout and tie-down at engineered spacing
- Copper supply/return manifold fabrication with isolation valves
- Circuit pressure testing before the pour
- Self-leveling overpour coordination and protection
- Zone valves, circulators, and boiler tie-in
